Shape Shifting II
Acrylic, Collage, Oil pastel and pencil on Wooden Panel,
48 × 48 cm, sold in a bespoke Ash frame
Shape Shifting is a collection of paintings created in spring 2025, inspired by a desire to connect with that most precious feeling of freedom, allowing myself to be fully authentic in my expression and accepting of the marks, shapes and colours that were emerging. This marks a turning point in my practice, although I am inspired by many beautiful things, travel in particular has been a big inspiration for me absorbing cultures and the beauty of ancient civilisations. I will hold these treasures softly within as I continue to deepen my awareness without attachment or involvement. The more beauty I can take in, and the less I try to shape it, the closer I am moving towards deep contentment.
