This painting is part of the Humming light collection, a celebration of an energy of life, inspired by the people, ancient mysticism, architecture, colour and vibrancy of exotic wildlife I experienced on artist residency in the “Pueblo Magico” (magical town) of Ajijic.
What began as a process of fluttering wing shapes and gestural movement, evolved into a female energy that made herself very present and demanded to be celebrated in all her majesty. She represents a determined spirit to soar high in the face of adversity.
